What a doll!

I have made a new doll. I think her name will be Marigold. At first she looked a bit pouty but now that she's done, she seems to be slightly more pensive. Regardless, I think she is really pretty and I am in love with her hair which is made from this gorgeous hand spun yard from Simply Twisted.
She custom made this yarn for me. It is spun fairly loose but it weighty and dense. It is so soft and the colour is a gorgeous sunsety yellow. It's made absolutely lovely hair.

I was also able to upcycle an adorable little baby top with pin tucking and mother of pearl buttons which I got from a charity shop. The sash on her waist is a ribbon from H's first birthday dress. She is stuffed with fluffy sheep's wool. I actually broke down and bought a big bag of prepared wool stuffing instead of carding my own! Petal had a whole bunch extra so I got it from her. Well, it was a million times easier and took half the time. So much for the constant carding I seemed to be doing in the past.

Now all I need is a day with a brief break in the rain so that I can take pictures of her for the etsy shop!
